July is here and temperatures are heating up. That means it’s time for the Oxnard Salsa Festival. With plenty of food, music, and dancing, it’s sure to be a great time for the whole family. Find out more about the festival so that you can participate.

Time: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
The festival offers fun for the whole family. With a salsa tasting contest, international food options, a crafts fair, and activities for the kids, it’s a great event for people of all ages. Admission to the salsa tent is $5 per person, however, the event is free and open to the public. With two food courts the event boasts delicious foods such as tamales, empanadas, smoothies, and more. Explore various crafts from vendors and let your kids have a blast at the kid zone. Plus, don’t forget to check out the salsa recipe contest or the dancing with our community stars events. Additionally, there will be plenty of live music. On Saturday, enjoy performances from The Arsenio Rodriguez Project, Community Dance Showcase, Orquesta Bonko, and Louie Cruz Beltran. On Sunday, enjoy performances from La Verdad, Dancing with Our Community Stars, Angel Lebron Y Su Sabor Latino, and Janeen Puente. In addition to the festivities, come to the Friday Night Kick Off Concert. Beginning at 7:00 p.m. come for live music and dancing at Plaza Park. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets to the concert may be purchased for $5 per person. Enjoy participating in local community events, and ensure that you feel safe in your community.
